BIOGRAPHY

Craig is a member of the firm’s business rescue and insolvency team. He has assisted on a number of high profile insolvencies, insolvency interrogations and business rescues and has acted for a broad range of clients including business rescue practitioners, liquidators, listed entities, multinational corporations and creditors.

He has amassed a broad range of skills and experience. His expertise extends to corporate and commercial law, commercial drafting, corporate structuring, BEE structuring, data protection including POPIA and GDPR legislation, IT and ICT sector work, commercial negotiations, commercial arbitrations and commercial High Court litigation.

He obtained his LL.B. degree at the University of the Witwatersrand where, in 2018, he also completed his Masters degree (LLM) in Corporate Law. In addition to his law degrees, he has also completed a B.A. degree in Sports Psychology (cum laude) and an Honours degree in Sports Science at the University of Johannesburg, is a certified Securities trader with the JSE and has been inducted into the Golden Key Society. In 2023 Craig was selected by INSOL International to be one of the South African representatives in its Future Leaders Programme.

He holds the following additional qualifications:

• INSOL International and SARIPA Programme in South African Insolvency Law and Practice (with distinction)
• Advanced Short Course in Business Rescue Practice, University of South Africa
• First Law International Best Ethical Practices and Compliance Training Certificate in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (US/FCPA), Anti-Bribery Act (UK/ABA) OECD, Anti-Money Laundering (UE AML) and National Legislation on Corruption, Bribery and Compliance Practice
